juice processing line

Juice Processing Line Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner for dedicated juice processing line procurement. Plant buyers send fruit variety, incoming condition, intended juice type, quantity and destination so factories can return comparable wholesale quotes. This service does not operate an extraction plant and does not publish a market discount percentage.

Replacement versus new installation

Existing process

A replacement brief should name whether only the press or extractor is ageing, or whether reception, enzyme dosing, clarification, evaporation and filling must move together. An apple press rating taken from a public HPX family page is a comparison structure, not a tropical-fruit guarantee on this site.

Write the current fruit preparation, juice clarity target and the module that actually bottlenecks the line, then ask factories whether a drop-in frame or a new cell is being quoted.

Duty and operating envelope

Throughput for a juice processing line is defined by fruit condition and preparation, not by a nameplate cycle time. Ask each bidder to state t/h and yield % w/w on the same incoming fruit, then keep purchased fruit input separate from packaged juice output.

Material entering the machine
Name the fruit (apple, mixed pome, citrus, mango, pineapple), seasonal hardness, whether it arrives washed or already milled, and whether stones, peels or fiber must be removed before extraction. Public apple-press examples should stay labelled as apple evidence.
Required output
State cloudy juice, clarified juice or concentrate as the purchase boundary. Record Brix, suspended solids and the mass-balance cut where pomace and fines leave the process. Filling and final packaging are included only if the RFQ says so.
Duty cycle
Seasonal campaigns, CIP frequency, batch press cycles versus continuous pasteurisation, and connected load in kW with three-phase frequency. Empty-machine speed is not the duty.

Product changeover questions for a juice processing line

What changes between products?

Format range here is fruit mix and juice type, not carton millimetres. An apple cloudy-juice campaign and a clarified concentrate campaign need different enzyme, filtration and evaporator assumptions. Mixing those campaigns on one quote sheet hides the real bottleneck.

What must be cleaned or replaced?

Change parts often include mill screens, press cloths or belts, decanter settings, filter media and pasteuriser gaskets. CIP chemistry, drain slopes and allergen or flavour carry-over rules belong in the inquiry. A dry-packaging room example is not a juice-room construction offer.

How is the first good output verified?

Restart checks should use representative raw fruit and the agreed juice-quality measurements. Record juice, pomace and losses at the chosen boundary before ranking extraction offers. Feeder speed is not saleable juice.

Which procurement scope is covered by juice processing line?

What should a buyer confirm when requesting juice processing line?
Known input
Fruit variety and condition, intended juice type, incoming tonnage, quantity of lines, US destination, and whether filling is in scope. Bucher Unipektin process maps are useful for listing reception-to-treatment stages; they are not this service’s factory identity.
Supplier confirmation
Which modules sit inside the quoted cell, the yield basis, pomace handling, buffer volume between batch extraction and continuous pasteurisation, and which of installation, training and spare parts remain extra lines.
What fruit condition and preparation define extraction throughput?

Extraction t/h follows mill size, enzyme hold time, press chamber volume in litres or extractor geometry, and how much peel or fiber is still present. An apple HPX throughput note does not prove mango or pineapple performance. Ask for a mass balance, then compare downstream clarification load. Read the notes on defining a juice line by fruit and juice type and comparing extraction yield versus downstream load.
